Cookies

Cookies are small files that enable specific information relating to the device to be stored on the user’s access device (PC, smartphone or similar). On the one hand, they improve the user-friendliness of websites and thus benefit the users (e.g. storage of login data). On the other hand, they serve to record statistical data on website use and to enable us to analyse these data in order to improve our services. Users can influence the use of cookies. Most browsers have an option to restrict or completely prevent the storage of cookies. However, it should be noted that the use, and in particular the ease of use, are limited if cookies are not stored.

You can manage many online ad cookies from companies through the US website http://www.aboutads.info/choices/ or the EU website http://www.youronlinechoices.com/uk/your-ad-choices/ .

Registration function

The data entered during registration is used for the purpose of using the service. Users can be informed via email about information relevant to the service or registration, such as changes in the scope of the service or technical circumstances. The collected data can be seen on the entry form during registration. This includes your name and your email address in order to provide you with the download of documents from the K12 knowledge pool (Wissenpool).

Google Analytics

This offer uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service of Google Inc. (“Google”). Google Analytics uses so-called “cookies”, text files that are stored on the user’s computer and which enable an analysis of their use of the website. The information generated by the cookie about the users’ visit to this website is usually transferred to a Google server in the USA and stored there.

However, by activating IP anonymisation on this website, your IP address is first shortened by Google within member states of the European Union or in other contracting states of the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transferred to a Google server in the USA and shortened there. IP anonymization is active on this website. On behalf of the operator of this website, Google will use this information to evaluate the use of the website by the users, to compile reports on the website activities and to provide further services to the website operator in connection with the use of the website and the internet.

The IP address transmitted by your browser within the scope of Google Analytics is not combined with other data from Google. Users can prevent the storage of cookies by adjusting the settings of their browser software accordingly; however, this offer draws users’ attention to the fact that, in this case, they may not be able to use all functions of this website to their full extent. Users can also prevent the collection of data generated by the cookie and data relating to their use of the website (including their IP address) from being passed on to Google and the subsequent processing of this data by Google, by downloading and installing the browser plugin available at the following link: http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de.

Further information on the use of data for advertising purposes by Google, as well as possibilities for adjustment of settings and objection rights, can be found on Google’s websites: https://www.google.com/intl/de/policies/privacy/partners/ (“Data use by Google when you use the websites or apps of our partners”), http://www.google.com/policies/technologies/ads (“Data use for advertising purposes”), http://www.google.de/settings/ads (“Manage information that Google uses to display advertisements) and http://www.google.com/ads/preferences/ (“Determine which ads Google shows you”).
